Cupcakes.

Another long weekend has gone by and the kids and I managed to do some baking. We made cupcakes this time! I made sure they were the ones to pour the flour, pour the sugar, measure them, stir them, scoop them.. they both made 7 cupcakes each. Kakak made sure she made more than 6 because 6 are for her classmates, thought that is so thoughtful.. Nadira made 7 and ate icing on all 5!

I am always on the look out for easy simple baking recipes especially for kids. The recipe for these cupcakes are real simple and yummy too except it could be softer though..

The recipe for cupcakes~ 200g sugar, 115g butter, 200g flour, 2 eggs, vanilla essence, 1.5 tsp baking powder and 2 tsp milk. Bake for 20 minutes at 190c.

Like i said, cupcakes turned abit dryer than i thought, do you know why mama ning?

ok..am not nigella but maybe its one of the following reasons:-

1. oven is too hot..some oven temps vary brand to brand

2. which shelf do u put the baking tray on? i always make sure i put mine on the middle shelf..not too close to the heating element..

3. the recipe u use also sounds a bit dry..not much moisture..only a bit of milk..

i'll email you my cupcake recipe..wouldnt normally share this with anyone but i love you so...hehehehe....i just used this recipe for tim's bday..baked 100 cupcakes on saturday, kept them in fridge overnight..still moist for sunday's party..i even ate them cold..
