Funniest Thing

Rambutan = Hairy Fruit/Rambut Utan

Macaroni = Makan Roni

Its the funniest thing with rambutans, yes as in the fruit, when Nadia was younger, she used to describe rambutans as "the hairy fruit", took me awhile to figure out what she was talking about..hahaha. "Mama, I want the buah yang bulu-bulu tu... mama, how come you don't know..Nadira now calls it "rambut utan" that simply means "hairy jungle", hahahahaha.. But then again she calls Macaroni, yes as in the kind of pasta, as "Makan Roni"! simply means "eat roni". hahahaha.. Kids really do say the funniest things..

Tuesday

In between breaks.. I created this too!

I created this book again with 5x5 canvas frames bought from a craft store. This is just a normal flip book but stitching is the same as the starbook's. I have added flower beads to this book. Once again I played with my distress inks for rangerinks. This time the outcome is very different as compared to the Nostalgic book. Both covers are done with distress inks.

Nostalgic Moments..

I saw the latest Tim Holtz's class and thought I'll try scraplifting it. I love the wax thread, pink, thanks Ning. The colours turned out great. The pink, blue and green are distress inks. A new technique I found fun. Metal photo corners are 7Gypsies. Flowers are Basic Grey Rub-ons.

Sunday

Thanks Mama!

Nadia really touched me when I finally brought them swimming since the opening of Scrappingville. Their argument was.. we have not been swimming for 2 whole months now! So I brought them since they were so sure.. ofcourse we stayed like forever at the pool from 10am to 1pm! yes sunburnt everybody! gelap terus.. so when we got home, this is what Nadia drew for me.. just a scenery artwork with trees and green grass and a bright sun! It absolutely touched me at just how something so small that I did meant so much to them. This is why I love to scrapbook. I scrap because I have a story to tell.

Thought I'd try scrapping Dira's art work! Been wanting to do this ages ago finally got round to it! Its quite a challenge as to how I was gonna scrap this.. The first one was pretty simple I didnt want to cut too much out nor cover too much so I left it as pretty much as it is. With the Whales LO, I managed to cut every image out. Stamped whales with Autumn Leaves Clear Alphabet Stamps (absolutely loving them at the moment). Pictures are not too clear, took these pictures with my phone..hehehe hope you'll find them ok.
