Delight

The kids and I share a lot of time together in the car while shuffling them back and forth from school. We talk about our day at school, then plan what we are to do next, we sometimes take funny pictures again and again. Nadira and I were trying to fit our faces onto the mirror to snap a picture together.

Journal on this page: Each day brings with it another chance to live in the moment.

I traced the heart with black watercolour pencil, mist the black with water to bring out the colour, same way I did for the title Delight.

The red and orange hearts, I inked with Distress Inks then mist with water to blend the colours in.

Drip diluted white acrylic paint on the top of the page then mist with water.

Today an altered frame

Today an altered frame.. tomorrow? hmm

Used my favourite patterned papers from 7Gypsies. I cut out the bird from one of the papers and used it as a sample for cutting a thin chipboard and embossed with the script embossing folder.

A DIY project I did for a mag.

Discover ~ Canvas Layout

Watercolours are now my current thing. Its made me realised the beautiful bright colours and the effect of the blending in of different colours are absolutely yummy.

I've used watercolour palettes for the background of the canvas, acrylic inks by Daler Rowney (purple for flowers) and watercolour pencils for the green stems. Pink tags are again the red acrylic inks by Daler.

Stamp: "if you can imagine it, YOU can achieve it." ~ Unity Stamp

Butterfly shaped pearls by Prima.

Ok, maybe its safely to say that my new favourite colour would be BLUE now.. for now that is..

Thursday

Canvas Album from Creative Escape ~ Donna Downey

Love the little details.

"the Journey is the reward".

"there is great meaning in life for those who are willing to journey".

"simple and pure".

"love so radiant and bright".

"together makes the everyday so much more enjoyable".

"you inspire me to grow wiser".

"each new day, each new place, each new experience I choose to spend with you".

I am so loving the watercolours. I am working now on the inspiration journal with watercolours. So loving it! I feel like I'm back in school. The beauty about it also, is you could share this with the kids too!
